
REBECCA JANSEN
Rebecca Jansen (BMus (Hons), PGDip (RCM)) is a London-based cellist and teacher, holding a BMus (Hons) from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and a PGDip from the Royal College of Music.

As a chamber and orchestral musician, Rebecca has won several prizes, including the Cardiff Violins Prize for Chamber Music and the McGrenery Prize for Chamber Music. She has performed across the Netherlands and the UK in venues such as St. John’s Smith Square, LSO St. Luke’s, St. David’s Hall, Studio S4C, Dominicuskerk Amsterdam, KUUB Utrecht, and HKU Utrechts Conservatorium. She enjoys performing a wide range of music, including classical, rock, pop, musicals, and jazz.
Rebecca currently teaches at Merton Music Foundation, James Allen’s Girls’ School, Merchant Taylors School, and Merchant Taylors Prep School, where she also serves as director of the junior string ensemble. She is committed to nurturing the development of young musicians and strives to make a meaningful, lasting impact on their lives through music education

Alongside teaching and performing, Rebecca enjoys participating in community outreach, and has been involved in a variety of projects with organisations such as InHarmony Opera North, In-Deep Community Task Force, and local care homes.
